Carolina Kitchen Bar & Grill : Hyattsville, MD : 12 18 2011
To kick off the 5th installment of Kicks for Kids, Ciroc Ultra Premium Vodka sponsored a media brunch at a soulfood restaurant nearby the site of the meet and greet. Perfect location. Perfect cuisine. Perfect vodka. Interviews were held by some local bloggers, media outlets, and hip-hop enthusiasts.
The food at Carolina Kitchen is always a hit. Shoutout to Lance London for stopping through to show support. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I met an aspiring photographer there at the host stand too. I hope she chases the dream.
Reebok was on site with product placement, along with Young & Reckless, who nailed the Kicks for Kids tshirt with some dope design work.
You should’ve seen my trying to hijack the Ciroc Boyz letterman jacket. Lol. All I heard was, “Van, you can’t even fit that – it’s a XXXL?!”. Me: “I’ll just roll the sleeves up. ***shrugs” Somebody get Diddy on the line and tell him I need one in a L/XL. Please + Thank you. The corny part of me wants to crack a cheesy joke about hijacking the Ciroc Boyz jacket, by using the classic Diddy phrase “Take that! Take that!”. I won’t do it though. Not this time.
Oh yeah, while I’m thinking about it: the next time you make an adult beverage purchase at the liquor store, pick up these “Peach Lemonade” ingredients. I promise it’ll get any house party started right.
“I got 100 bottles. Ciroc Boy…” ***Meek Mill voice
