Pharoh Martin currently oversees the digital content objectives for Radio One’s cluster of radio station in the Washington, DC market including top-10 stations WKYS 93.9 FM and Majic 102.3 FM. He's increased market website traffic to over 3.5 million page views, a growth of over 200% since he took over. He's also responisble growing social media presence for his associated radio station properties by 500%.

The Fresno, California native regularly produces content for Theurbandaily.com, Newsone.com and The Washington Post.

Before joining Radio One, Martin was the the national correspondent for the NNPA News Service, the national newswire for over 200 Black and community newspapers. As a reporter for NNPA, Martin focused largely on issues of the aging, civil rights and public policy, particularly concerning the White House, Capitol Hill and the federal government. In 2005, Martin co-founded urban lifestyle periodical Streetz Magazine, where he served as it’s editorial director.

He launched Thesmugger.com, a life and style blog geared toward urbane gentlemen. The site has been recognized by Vibe Magazine as a top ten up-and-coming blog in its “Ultimate Blogger” search.

Martin is a 2009-2010 NNPA/AARP fellow. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the Howard University John H. Johnson School of Communications, where he was twice nominated for a Hearst Award for feature writing.

In 2010, Martin was named one of the Washington, DC Metro region’s “Top 30 Under 30″ by the area’s top radio station 93.9 WKYS, prior to being hired by Radio One.
